BRAWA 6342 Cable car Hahnenkamm, H0 gauge

High above the famous Austrian winter sports resort of Kitzbühel rises the Hahnenkamm at 1712 meters. Several cable cars lead to the ski resort - venue of the annual Hahnenkamm race.

The bottom station of the Hahnenkamm cable car is located directly in Kitzbühel, from here you can reach the top station at 1658 m within 15 minutes. The cable car was built in 1929 as a reversible aerial tramway and was converted to today's circulating gondola lift in 1996. It overcomes a difference in altitude of 872 m over a distance of 2356 m. The gondolas can accommodate six passengers. The gondolas offer space for six people and a great view of the alpine panorama. The gondolas bear, among other things, the name of the victorious ski racers of the international Hahnenkamm race on the Streif.

The Streif is considered one of the most difficult and dangerous racing slopes in the world and has been the venue for the Hahnenkamm races since 1931. The BRAWA model also bears the true-to-the-original lettering. The Hahnenkamm track in H0 scale is a highlight for any model railroad layout. It opens up the mountain world and invites you to go hiking or skiing.
