Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class ET 85 electric powered rail car with class ES 85 cab control car. Version with train end signal lanterns mounted on top in a crimson paint scheme. Road numbers ET 85 21 and ES 85 20. Home depot in Munich. State of operation as of 1958.
Model: The ET 85 is a powered unit with a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion. Four axles powered. Traction tires. Three-light headlights and two red marker lights over both units at the outer ends that change over with the direction of travel, can be controlled digitally. Both units are permanently coupled together with a multipole coupler. The interior lighting in the ET 85 powered rail car and the ES 85 cab control car will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. The headlights on end 1 of the powered rail car and end 2 of the cab control car can be turned off separately in digital operation. The cab lighting on the outer cabs can be controlled separately in digital operation. The running gear and body are very detailed. The car body and car floor are constructed of metal. Multi-part and multi-color interior details. The car comes with reproduction brake lines and two close coupler heads. Total length over the buffers approx. 46.8 cm.
