Prototype: Bavarian class S 2/6 express train steam locomotive in a green basic paint scheme with a black smoke box door and red running gear. Reproduction of the preserved locomotive in the Nuremberg Transportation Museum. Museum condition as a locomotive of the Royal Bavarian State Railroad (K.Bay.Sts.B.) of Era I.
Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Regulated high-efficiency propulsion. 2 axles powered. Traction tires. Smoke unit installed as standard. The dual headlights and smoke unit change over with the direction of travel in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Train headlights and cab lighting can also be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the lighting. Detailed running gear with an open bar frame. The smoke box, smoke stack, dome, and cylinder group have streamlined paneling and the engineer's cab has a streamlined design. Close coupler between the locomotive and tender. The tender has a close coupler with NEM shaft. Minimum passable radius 360 mm. Piston rod protection tubes are included separately. Length over buffers 25.1 cm.
The class S 2/6 express steam locomotive is being produced in a one-time series for the 125th anniversary of the Nuremberg Transportation Museum.
This model can be found in an AC version in the Märklin H0 assortment under item number 38015.
