The locomotives of the 109 series represented the conclusion and highlight of the 2C machines in Austria. With them, the travel time between Vienna and Trieste could be reduced from 13.5 to 10.5 hours. In 1913, the Budapest machine factory built eleven locomotives for use on lines in the Hungarian half of the empire. From the from the original 109 series, the locomotive later known in Hungary as the 302 in Hungary, mainly due to the angular cladding of the intake pipes and the typical Hungarian lamps. The air pump is also the left rear of the boiler. The steam locomotive with the number 109.107 was built in Budapest in 1915 on the basis of Austrian plan drawings. In 1932, the Donau-Save-Adria Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (formerly Südbahn-Gesellschaft) was nationalized. Its vehicles were transferred to MÁV. From 1932 this locomotive was in service as MÁV 302.608. The model shows the appearance of the locomotive in its final years.
