The route network of the Vogtlandbahn covers the southwest of Saxony with four lines from Plauen to Zwickau, Bad Brambach and Klingenthal. In the neighboring regions, they extend as far as Gera in eastern Thuringia, to Kraslice and Cheb in the Czech Republic, and to Hof in Upper Franconia. In addition to other vehicles, some Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 railcars are in service.
