PIKO 59740 DR class 130 diesel locomotive, era IV, H0 gauge

The PIKO model of the 130 locomotive represents the first consistently prototypical H0 model of the DR class 130. Exactly based on the prototype, the PIKO 130 has the large front and side windows of the first delivery series. Just as typical were the separately applied handrail bars in front of the cabs and the "tidy" roof. Although the 130 is shorter than the 132 series, it appears larger and more massive in the model with its lowered front skirts. A very special highlight is the prototypically illuminated side signage. Model-oriented model railroaders will also be impressed by the accurately reproduced, robust bogie detailing that can withstand the rigors of everyday operation on the model railroad. The motor with two flywheel masses together with the heavy zinc diecast frame, the elegant cardan shaft drive on four axles (two wheels covered with adhesive tires in diagonal arrangement) give the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. As a model of the PIKO Expert line, the 130 006-0 has close coupler kinematics and a Plux16/22 digital interface. Retrofitting with sound is prepared.
