NMJ Topline model of the NSB B4 25956 passenger car in brown paint scheme (gammel design) with yellow stripes and silver roof.

The model has all the details on the car body, bogies, undercarriage and roof. The B4 25956 was converted from a B10 car in 1970. The cars got ski tripods in 1990 and were renamed B4-2. In 1992 the car was rebuilt into CB3 21234 Barnetoget.

A new, very interesting series of cars from NMJ Topline.

NMJ brings the modernized models of the B2 and B10 passenger cars built in 1940s-50s in 1:87 scale. The cars were built from 1941. Although it was more expensive to modernize the cars than to build new ones, they were rebuilt and modernized in the late 1960s. The B10 of the NSB were the last pure compartment cars of the NSB. From the B2 cars, the so-called tourist cars, 20 cars were rebuilt to B3-2 type3 and 15 B10 cars were rebuilt to B4 cars in the years 1969-1974. All wagons got a new body and new windows. The B2 cars got the same interior as the B3 cars. The B4 cars got the same seats with stainless steel frames as the BM68 and BM91.

Most of the cars were in service until the end of 1999. Few cars were converted to CB2/CB3 cars (Inter City Special) and were in service until 2006.

The wagons were an important part of NSB's wagon fleet and went through all color variations, such as brown (gammel design) red-brown (mellom design) and red (nydesign). The cars are a perfect complement to the B3 series of NMJ Topline. All NSB steel cars between 1937 and 1977 had a standard length of 23500 mm, a width of 3100 mm and a height of 4100 mm. The wagons had a weight of 36-38 tons and were approved for a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
