Hobbytrain H23943 Shuttle train control car Bt BLS, Ep.IV, cream/blue, N-gauge Novelty 2021

On the basis of the EW1 standard cars with rubber bellows and an ABDe4/8 type driver's cab, six Bt control cars were delivered to BLS in 1963 by the Schweizerische Waggonfabrik Schlieren (SWS). In 1970, 3 more of these control cars were delivered to BLS on the basis of the modernized EW1 with rubber bead and extended carbody. The control cars were used in shuttle trains, among other things. As of 2005, four rebuilt cab cars with the new numbers BDt 946-949 were in service with car trains and the modernized Bt 951-953 were in service with outside swing doors in the shuttle trains.
