As more and more special wagons were put into service, the need for two-axle covered freight wagons decreased. As early as 1995 - and to a greater extent from 1997 - various carrying wagons for swap bodies were built from the Gb 5001-5100 series. The special wagons known as Lb-v 7851-7886 can be found from Landquart or Chur on the entire RhB route network: with troughs, conventional containers, postal containers or refrigerated containers for transporting foodstuffs, such as Coop or Migros. Bogie wagons, which can also be carried in passenger trains that travel faster than freight trains, now dominate; around half of the carrying wagons, now known as Lb, have already been taken out of service. The grocery chain Coop serves its branches from Chur every working day with colorfully designed refrigerated containers, several of which can often be seen in one train. Since their introduction at the turn of the millennium, several generations of containers have been used and constantly improved. They carry various fruit and vegetable motifs and immediately catch the eye on freight trains, especially when there are several on a train.
