Since its market launch in 2014, more than 130 DE 18 locomotives have been sold and are now performing reliably in both shunting and mainline service. at speeds between 17 and 120 km/h, the DE 18 continuously offers an output of 1,800 kw, making it currently the most powerful center-cab locomotive on the european market. cross-border variants with multi-country equipment are in operation, whereby the de 18 can currently be equipped with four national train protection systems and ETCS in various configuration levels. The locomotives are thus used by German rail operators such as Rheincargo and Railadventure and railroads such as basf as well as by foreign operators such as CFL, Europorte, and SNCF. After the realization of the Vossloh G1000 BB as well as the G1700 BB now follows the latest diesel locomotive DE 18 as a model in N-gauge. Each model comes with a figure of a shunting locomotive driver with remote control for N scale. The figure is exclusively newly modeled and manufactured for us by the company NOCH.
