This is a model of an ÖBB class 2095 diesel locomotive as it was used on many narrow gauge railroads in Austria and some of them still are.true to the original orange paint scheme and lettering of Era IV. Four wheel sets powered by two powerful motors. Equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder with many light and sound functions. New inset windows, lighting with LEDs. Length over coupler 45 cm.

On the 760 mm gauge narrow gauge railroads operated by ÖBB at the end of the 1950s, steam locomotives were still in use for the most part, and they were already of considerable age. In order to make operation on these lines more rational, ÖBB decided to procure appropriate diesel locomotives. Thus, between 1958 and 1962, a total of 15 class 2095 locomotives were delivered by Simmering-Graz-Pauker. These four-axle locomotives, weighing 31 tons and measuring 10.40 meters in length, were capable of significantly accelerating train operations with their 600 hp and top speed of 60 km/h. The locomotives also had a high engine output. Typical of these small but compact locomotives is the rod drive in the bogies - this was necessary because only one wheelset in each bogie could be driven directly via the transmission. Incidentally, the layout of the locomotive body in the first 3 locomotives - the prototypes - was different from that in the series, as these still had a steam boiler, which was then no longer installed in the series. Even today - at 65 years of age - these locomotives are still on the road, especially on the Pinzgau Railway, but also on other narrow-gauge railroads in Austria.

Highlights:

  • mfx/DCC decoder.
  • 2 high-performance motors.
  • Headlights can be switched digitally.
  • With sound.
  • Completely redesigned model.
  • True to original paint scheme.

Together with the 34621 passenger car, the 43621 stake car, and the 49184 roll car, a typical train can be reproduced as it was in operation on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn in the 1970s.

This locomotive will be presented together with the matching cars on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn.
