Lenz 45060 Turntable track, gauge 0

Lenz calls it a turntable track, because features typical of a turntable, such as the pit, are missing. Nevertheless, you can turn a locomotive with it. Even as a carpet railroader.

Enviable, who has a hall-like area for his gauge 0 layout available, the "normal" zeroer must usually be content with less area. So not infrequently a terminus or even terminus station might be the choice. Here, a turntable would be welcome, on which especially those locomotives can be turned, which would run backwards only slowly or not at all. However, a turntable requires a certain installation depth because of the pit and the platform, which in turn is quite unfavorable for the carpet railroaders who are certainly often found among the "zeros". Who wants a hole in the floor for the turntable ...

Out of this dilemma, the idea of the turntable was born. The whole construction is exactly as high as a track from the track range of Lenz gauge 0. The turntable track therefore does not need a recess and can therefore also be used by carpet railroaders.

• The turntable track has a total of 32 outlets, 31 of which can be used for sidings. The first feeder is used by the drive and therefore cannot be used as a siding.
• The turntable track comes with 8 track pieces that you can use to equip four outlets. Additional track pieces (8 each in a bag) are available under item no. 49020 (see recommended accessories).
• The outlets have an angle of 11.25° to each other. This angle corresponds to that of the turnouts of our track system.
• The outer diameter is 586 mm, this is the length of a double crossing turnout (DKW) of the Lenz 0 track system.
• The turnout track can be controlled digitally via the Digital plus by Lenz system or any other digital control compliant to the DCC standard. Controlling the turntable track in the DCC system is similar to switching turnouts. Each feeder has its own turnout address together with its directly opposite feeder. So 16 turnout addresses are used for the 32 outputs of the turnout track. By selecting this turnout address on the digital controller, you determine which feeder is to be approached by the turntable. You can also determine the direction of rotation. For turning you operate the turntable like a turnout: Select the address on the hand controller, press the "+" key for clockwise rotation, the "-" key for counterclockwise rotation, the turntable track moves to the selected exit and stops automatically.

The sweep loop problem known with turntables is also solved, more information in the instruction manual. Four outlets are included in the scope of delivery, another four outlets each are available as accessories.
